It was a coincidence , my brother was accompanying my mom to her medical appointment and he saw a buliding that said Jiu Jitsu. He told me about it and I was excited. Competition helps me to see the flaws in my jiu jitsu, what works and what does not work.
How has bjj helped and changed your life?
Bjj has helped me learn respect, honor, loyalty and courage. The courage to compete no matter what the end result is . To be loyal to my self and to others. To honor those who have set the path for me to follow. To respect those who may or may not have respect for me.
What do you think is not stressed enough in order to better your game in grappling?
Conditioning is never stressed enough.
What are your plans for the next 5-10 years?
My goal is to keep competing Jiu Jitsu until I win the black belt world title two times. I want to fight mma and eventually go to the UFC and win the wold title . I want to defend the belt seven or eight times and then retire. I may open a bjj academy after I retire.
